Here is a basic necessity for every kitchen! The straining lid allows you to pour liquids off your food by aligning the holes with the pan's pouring spout. Turn the lid again, and the holes are covered locking steam in the pan for moist cooking.

Super Non-stick

I was looking for a 2 qt. saucepan and decided to go with this Kitchenaid...good price, good name, and it matched some of the red appliances and cookware I have.
It is a great pan with an outstanding non-stick surface. Even after accidentally leaving the burner on with baked beans in it - the burned, dried residue came right off with soap and water, without a scratch. |
Great product!

This is a great pot. It's the perfect size, the color makes it fun and the built-in strainer on the lid makes it super convenient! One tip: don't use an electric mixer in the pot. I did that to make mashed potatoes and it scraped the non-stick surface, which started to peel after a few washes. I had to discard my old pot but I bought the exact same one because I think it's a wonderful product. I think having to restrain from using an electric mixer in this pot is trumped by the convenience of the built-in strainer. I hope you decide to get this pot and enjoy it as much as I do.
Good 2 quart pan

This is a high quality 2 quart saucepan. It has a lifetime warranty and I can see why from its' sturdy design. The handle stays cool while cooking as long as it isn't over direct heat. My only complaint is the pan is slightly heavy and it gets a little too heavy when I fell it up with water to cook pasta. But that is a minor detail and the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. I would recommend to anyone looking for a nice red saucepan!
Nice Pan but problems

It's a good pan but some problems which I would think the manufacturer could easily fix. The handle on the lid is not insulated which means it is too hot to handle and a potholder is necessary. The inside of the pan is teflon or non-stick and after six weeks has begun to chip off
