| I am thrilled with this vacuum!! I have four cats and this is the first vacuum I have owned that picks up ALL of the fur. I was never able to get their carpeted cat tree totally fur free before and now it looks brand new. (Tip, use the stair attachment and clean in one direction, on the diagonal, and apply a little pressure.) I also used it on their pet beds and it got off all of the fur there, too. Now I can keep the beds clean in between washings. I don't mind that the dirt cup fills up fast as that means it is doing the job! |
Great on Dog fur - Assembly required

Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R2JZSILSV9FKKR We have two dogs - whose favorite occupations are sleeping, barking, and shedding! Our last vacuum quit the job - I suspect because of the dog fur - so I was glad to see this one designed especially for that tough job.
I was a bit surprised at the amount of assembly required, but it went together easily - I documented it in the video review. The review includes about 40 seconds of vacuuming, and the final results - including what happens when you try to pull out the canister using the hatch button instead of the correct one at the top. All of the fur in the photo on the video was vacuumed up in the time shown of actual vacuuming - I TOLD you they shed a lot!
Anyway, I enjoy the fact that all of the tools are made to grab dog fur, and I really love the cool way you can put the telescoping duster back in and have the vacuum clean it off!
I can't certify as to longevity, but during my first try I was amazed at how much it picked up - even along the edges. I'd give it a full 5 stars, except that I think some of the parts could have been pre-assembled.

| Because I have four cats, I really needed a vacuum that could keep the hair off the floor. Eureka can thank Consumer Reports for my purchase. They rated it best for pet hair, and it certainly is. |

Mine came with the attatched dusting tool shown in the pictures above. I had some trouble putting it together as my hands were not strong enough to get the bolts in all the way. My kind young neighbor man came and did that for me and I finished the rest.
It feels like it is self propelled as it pulled me across the carpet. I must admit it is bigger and heaver than I thought it would be. This is what I consider a full size sweeper. I am used to my little Eureka optima that just died and this is more to handle but the pet tool is worth it. That little tool gets Pom hair off the furniture so easy. Twelve amps of suction is great and the tools are all on board. Strong suction with the tools.
It does blow out the front some but I am used to that, it is not as bad as my Optima was at all. I like that it empties form the bottom and not the top. It is worth the seventy-four bucks I paid at the local mart store. It has a 2 year warranty so that is pretty good these days. The other Optima I had 5 years and it was about fifty bucks here at Amazon, I think I got my moneys worth.
And the added bonus is it is purple my favorite color If it were a might smaller it would be a 5 star review. |

| We were shopping for a vacuum cleaner especially designed for pets. our old vacuum (with Hepa) left the house smelling like damp pet. This one does a good job and the bag less keeps the musty orders out of the house. It has good suction and even the accessories are useful. |
